done Toenail problems such as fungal nail infection

Thick, miss-shapen nails can be very difficult to manage and may lead to other problems.

done Corns and callus

There are several different types of corns, each of which having different reasons for occurring and most can cause significant pain. Several different types of treatment are available to relieve pain and prevent re-occurrence. Callus can become very painful and, for some, unsightly. We can remove them within the clinic.

done Verruca treatment

We offer help and advice on how to manage verruca’s. We also offer a course of treatment within the clinic using 60% salicylic acid.

done Ingrown toenails

Treatment to relieve the pain and advice on how to prevent re-occurrence.

done Biomechanics

The way your feet work can contribute to foot problems. An assessment at Stance takes a close look at how your feet work to ascertain if this is a contributing factor to your problems.

  • Chiropodists and podiatrists deal with the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the lower limb and foot.

  • There is no difference between a chiropodist or a podiatrist. Podiatrist is simply the term used for chiropodists in other English speaking countries outside the UK.

  • Initially, we book a half-hour appointment for you and if you require more time then we can arrange this too.

  • Please bring a full list of any medication you are currently taking. You will also need details of your GP and the surgery you attend. If you are wearing nail varnish, please remove it prior to your appointment.

  • We are able to visit patients at home if they are housebound. Please contact us for details.
